Our theme is Scouting Around the World. We are collecting change for new troops in around the world where there is no scouting.
Did you know...
There are over 30 million children in the Boy Scouts of America in over 140 countries. The purple crest on your uniform is the World Crest and is worn by every scout around the world!
So...we are asking that each scout bring some change, what they would spend on a soft drink or candy bar, and donate it to help scouts around the world.
Over 400 Scouts take part in the Husky Hustle, Snowshoe relay, Injured Skier lift, Ice Floe rescue and fire building games. All scouts can participate. At the December Pack meeting we need to know who will be participating in the Klondike.

The Scouting movement encourages its members to be faithful in the practice of their religion. The Cub Scout Promise, Scout Oath both call upon members to pledge themselves to do their duty to God.
The BSA does not define what constitutes a belief in God or the practice of religion. Rather, it provides a program and ideals that compliment the aims of all religions, with the result that religious organizations are the single largest category of chartered organizations for packs & troops. Most of the major religious bodies in the US have programs to recognize Cub Scouts who demonstrate faith, observe their creeds or principles and give service. The religious emblems are not scouting awards. They are presented by religious groups to boys who work with their religious leader or counselor on a program of requirements that often take months to complete. The emblems are worn on the uniforms on special occasions such as the Blue & Gold Banquets, uniform inspections or other formal occasions. For informal occasions, the boys may wear the square knot (silver knot on a purple background) centered above the left uniform pocket.
If you are interested in earning your faith religious emblem, please contact Deb Hamel, our Religious Award Chair 851-9650.
